Born in Hawaii and raised throughout the world in many countries, I’ve gained experience and knowledge from many people.
Music has always been a part of my life ever since I was a boy. Growing up in an islander household made way for a plethora of island music to reach my ears. A big part of my musical interests came from my parents who are both musical. My father loved playing the guitar, and my mother always loved to sing. So, growing up I always engaged with music along with my siblings and parents. Music could possibly be said to be my own little escape route from the world. Whenever certain emotions are felt, music can help to aid, decrease, or even increase those emotions to a certain extent. I always loved to play the Ukulele when I was younger, and I enjoyed writing my own songs to the chords my dad taught me. It wasn’t until high school when I realized I wanted to make music a permanent staple within my life. I wanted to be a part of it, I wanted to make it, I wanted to create. I wanted to make these musical emotions so that others could feel the energy that I feel.
Since the beginning of high school, when I wasn’t flooded with assignments or extracurricular activities, I began to mess around with making beats on my phone during downtime. I discovered a free music production software, and taught myself the basics of music production. I was able to immerse myself in the concept of music production gradually enabling me to build up my knowledge of music production entirely. Slowly upgrading my software and equipment over time, I’ve learned many new techniques and created positive habits. Growth as an engineer, producer, and artist allowed me to help myself along with others to pursue their passion in music production as well.
